Bringing the Paiute Cutthroat Trout Home

CDFW, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service have returned a rare trout species to its home water after a 71-year absence. The Paiute Cutthroat Trout was one of the first species in the nation listed as endangered under the federal Endangered Species Act in 1967. Ensuring this trout survives into the future has been a long but rewarding journey.  More Info
